All Ain’t What It Seems To Be

All just ain’t what it seems to be … What do I mean by that?
Look at the diagram below that shows us a triangle with the three points of consciousness. At any given time, we are either activated to react with the Fight or Flight response in our daily lives, or we are resting peacefully in Stillness (Balance). It’s one or the other; we cannot fear and maintain a centered state of mind.
When in the Fight response, we experience fear and perhaps a great deal of anger and anxiety, as a result. In contrast, when we’re feeling threatened in some way, instead of feeling compelled to Fight, our minds engage our bodies to flee ‘ to safety.’ In this self-preservation mode of Flight, the fear we’re experiencing may provoke a strikingly different response than when we decide to Fight. The behavior of the Flight response, however, may be quite subtle as compared to Fight. For example, we may simply choose to ignore the threat hoping it will go away, or we literally turn our backs, walk or run away, or resort to hiding ourselves in some manner whether it be in the form of mental or emotional suppression or by physically ‘leaving the scene.’

As you can see, the Fight and Flight responses are at the bottom of the triangle in the diagram, which represents the lower level of the hierarchy of energy, or frequency status, in this case. They are primarily low-frequency, or low-vibe states of being.
Most of us, everyday, sit in either camp as we react to everyday life situations and circumstances. We learned from a very young age how to cope with negative experiences that we have when relating to our world and the things people do to us and to others as we observe. The Fight and Flight responses alternate back and forth throughout the day in our thoughts, choices and reactionary behaviors. In the diagram, this is represented by the two-headed arrow pointing in opposite directions.. Again, these reactions are self-preserving.
The amygdala is a structure in our brains that is responsible for motivating either response. Whenever our physical senses detect a possible threat in our environment, it produces a hormone that tells the body to react. If we didn’t have this built-in safety mechanism in our brains, we would most likely not survive. Well, it’s not so much of a concern in these modern times, but primitive man’s survival depended on it.
So, Fight and Flight are on the lower level of the frequency spectrum; this is where most of us operate from, everyday. However, there exists a higher level resonance where Stillness reigns as a beautiful balance between our minds and hearts. In this frequency, we are in alignment with peace, harmony and happiness. We feel safe and secure in our world knowing we are protected by the Divine because as Jesus once said: “Fear not.”
This resonance of complete mental and emotional balance is an all-abiding Stillness that permeates our entire life and every single living cell in our bodies. But, it’s invisible, and therefore, its unseen. But, don’t keep making the mistake of underestimating it’s Reality and Power.
In short, Stillness of mind is what we experience when we meditate and fear-provoking fight or flight reactions are our experiences when we’re not holding this balance – the alignment with the Divine through mental and emotional control.
Being in a state of balance (that is, high-vibe resonance) is our true nature and fearing is foreign. To fear is not only foreign, it is an illusion. If you don’t believe me, ask your loved ones who have crossed over; they have been enlightened to this Truth. They will tell you that all ain’t what it seems to be.
They will tell you that fear is not real and that if you are experiencing fear which, as I mentioned before, is what most of us experience throughout our days, and even though it feels very real to us, it ain’t real!
The secret is to evolve your mind in order to understand this and to put it into action. And what I mean by this is to take action to instill Stillness of mind into your every day life. Just meditate!
There is only up from Fight or Flight, as depicted in the diagram by the upward arrows pointing to the Divine within each one of us. Meditate to find your equilibrium, your balance, so that you won’t ever again tip too far one way or the other for very long in the lower energies of Fight or Flight,.
